Tom Brady vs. the Seattle secondary

Tom Brady is a single win away from becoming the greatest quarterback of all time in most people’s minds. In order to grab that victory however, he will have to get past this fierce secondary of the Seattle Seahawks.

We all know about the great Richard Sherman and the abilities that he has. However, fifth-year defensive back Earl Thomas might be one of the most underrated safeties in the league. He has started all 16 games in every season ever since he came into the league in 2010, and has recorded five interceptions twice in a season.

His tackling abilities however, is what puts him over the top. He has accumulated 97 tackles or more three times in his career, including 105 last year. His 97 tackles this season landed in the top ten for most take-downs by a defensive back.

Tom Brady has had a stellar postseason here in 2015, but he also went up against weak secondaries. However, we are dealing with arguable the greatest quarterback of all time here. It will be a challenge, but it’s one that I believe Brady can succeed with.
