It hasn’t been an overly smooth transition for the University of Maryland football program as they switch from the Atlantic Coast Conference to Big Ten Conference in 2014. Still, the team has some very talented performers returning to the program and their three finest have been invited to represent the university at the Big Ten’s Media Days. Quarterback C.J. Brown, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and defensive back Jeremiah Johnson were the three Terrapins chosen to be highlighted throughout the media days.

Brown received an extra season of eligibility after a series of unfortunate injuries hampered his career. Likewise, Diggs is returning from a broken tibia that cut his season six games short and Johnson missed ten games after fracturing his toe.

From July 28th to 29th, the Maryland players along 39 others will be found in Chicago, Illinois where the event will be held along with a luncheon in the local Hilton hotel. The Big Ten selected an equal balance of upper and underclassmen to show the ever-changing conference landscape.

If Maryland football fans aren’t beginning to get excited for the upcoming season, they should be as Maryland will look to become immediate contenders during their first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
