Capitals Announce Summer Development Camp Dates
Earlier today, the Capitals announced that their summer development camp will take place at the team’s training facilities at the Kettler Ice Complex in Arlington, VA, from July 7-12.
On July 12, the camp will conclude with a final scrimmage at 10 a.m., and then jump right into Caps Fan Fest. A summer tradition that is highlighted by the team’s annual used equipment sale, the opportunity for fans to engage players for autographs and pictures, as well as an open skate with the team that is free to the public.
The available roster of players attending the camp will be released later in the summer as the training camp nears, along with a full detailed schedule of the week’s daily events.
This is the start of a new era in Capitals hockey, as this is the first camp to be overseen by new GM Brian MacLellan and Coach Barry Trotz. The pair, with their impressive resumes and indisputable hockey pedigrees have fans optimistic for a bright future on the ice in Washington.
