Washington Redskins add guard Shawn Lauvao
By Matthew Laux
A busy day of free agency continues with the signing of guard Shawn Lauvao formerly of the Cleveland Browns. The 26-year old was drafted in the third round way back in 2010 and took over the starting spot in Cleveland the following year. Since then, he has started 43 games despite missing five games a season ago due to an ankle injury.

Lauvao signed a four-year $17 million deal that provides the Redskins yet another player entering the prime of their career. The burley guard is not much of a fit for Kyle Shanahan’s offense, but now with Sean McVay in charge Lauvao appears to be a more appropriate addition. The move signals a changing of the guard within the Redskins offensive line and this could be the first of many moves made amongst the line.
