Whether or not the Washington Wizards are the third best team in NBA’s Eastern Conference remains up for the debate, but Sunday’s win reiterated how talented and deep the Wizards roster is.  Five players scored in double figures as Washington cruised to a 93-84 win against the Sacramento Kings.  Nene led the way for the Wizards finishing with 18 points and 5 rebounds.  Nene paired with Marcin Gortat to dominate the interior as they combined for 35 total points.

Although John Wall and Bradley Beal didn’t have their best games, the duo were integral parts in sealing the deal as they hit clutch shots down the stretch.  Washington had an outstanding defensive performance as well forcing 18 turnovers and limiting the high scoring King’s offense to just 35.4 percent from the field.

Washington will wrap up the first half of the NBA regular season with a trip to Memphis and Houston to take on the Grizzlies and Rockets respectively.  Both games are extremely winnable and would be momentum boosters heading into the upcoming all-star break.  The Wizards have just 32 games left in the regular season and currently hold the number 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.  Make sure all you Wizards fans are supporting Wall and Beal in the upcoming all-star game festivities.
