Washington Redskins Long Shots To Win Super Bowl
By Matthew Laux
With last night’s debacle of a Super Bowl, the end of the 2013-14 season has come quiet suddenly to a halt. Now, Washington Redskins fans will begin to look forward to a clean slate and high expectations in 2014-15. The first bit of information the Redskins can hang their hat on is the recent odds Bravada has given Washington to dethrone the Seahawks and win a Super Bowl title. These odds sit at 40-1, tied for 20th, and are the second highest among newly hired coaches.

Among NFC East teams, the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles have the highest odds at 25-1, followed by the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants tied at 33-1. While odds makers don’t foresee the NFC East winning a super bowl title, it’s the opposite for the members of the NFC West as the Seahawks have 9-2 odds to repeat as champions, and the NFC finalist San Francisco 49ers have 15-2 odds.
In reality, these numbers don’t mean much to the common man, but for any Washington Redskins fans it’s the first positive news in a long road back to the playoffs.
