Which Bowl will host the Maryland Terrapins?
By Matthew Laux
Approximately three weeks ago, things looked glim for the Maryland Terrapins Football squad, which had just dropped a 20-3 defeat at the hands of the Syracuse Orange. Since then, however, Maryland has turned their season around by upending the Virginia Tech Hokies in overtime and dominating the N.C. State Wolfpack, 41-21. Now, Maryland, 7-5, has begun the waiting process to determine which bowl will select the Terps to participate in.

The two most likely candidates appear to be the Military Bowl and Advocare V100 Bowl. The Military Bowl stands as the current favorite seeing as the contest takes place in Annapolis, Maryland, and most of the festivities surrounding the game are located in Washington, D.C. Fans and Alumni seem to favor the close proximity of the game because traveling would be much easier and affordable.
The Bowl selection process will be determined, Sunday, after the final BCS Bowl match ups are established. The ACC has a pre-set order from which the Bowls will select the teams, and Maryland will be one of the last selected. This season the conference has a surprising 11 teams eligible to participate in the post season, and with only 8-9 games available those ACC teams not selected will be able to receive at-large bids from various bowls.
