Dmitry Orlov requests a trade from Washington Capitals
By Matthew Laux
If you were a 2009 second round pick and had only 19 days as a part of the Washington Capitals would you want to stick around? That’s the question Capitals defenseman Dmirty Orlov has asked and he has made his answer very clear. Orlov has requested to be traded by the organization that drafted him unless his minutes increase greatly.

This, however, does not appear to be the case as bench coach Adam Oates hasn’t played Orlov in his several stints with the NHL club. In turn, Orlov has requested to be traded by Washington management in the coming weeks. Whether the organization will pull the trigger or not is to be determined, but tune in the find out more.
