Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson out for season
By Matthew Laux
The hits just keep coming for the Washington Redskins, as news out of Washington is that wide out Leonard Hankerson tore his LCL in his left knee and will be placed on the season ending injured reserve. Hankerson was hurt on a strange play and it was immeadiately recognized to be a serious injury. Hankerson had 30 receptions, 375 yards, and 3 touchdowns on the season and was the team’s second receiver. In replacement of Hankerson, the Redskins signed Lance Lewis, a second year player out of East Carolina, off of the practice squad in hopes of filling the void left by Hankerson.
