Injury Report: DeAngelo Hall
By Matthew Laux
An early scare out of Richmond, as Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall was seen limping off the field early Monday. Hall, however, returned to the field for full team drills but later in the day had the injured ankle wraped on the sidelines. Coach Mike Shanahan acknowledged the injury and said the team will know more “in the next 24 hours.”
The injury just adds to a tumultuous year after Hall struggled mightily just a season ago. DeAngelo was, also, cut for a brief period of time in order to avoid a major cap hit. Just less than a month later, the team signed him to a much lower contract. Hall, 29, is getting up there in age and simple ankle sprain may linger into the new season. For an already thin secondary, the Redskins cannot afford many injuries this season. More information will become readily available in the coming hours, but Washington fans can be assured that the skins will be overly cautious while treating Hall’s injury.
