Bryce Harper Reminds Us How Great Sick Days Are
Amanda Comak of the Washington Times reports that Bryce Harper received an IV prior to tonight’s game against the Miami Marlins. Harper’s been dealing with the stomach flu since yesterday, and Comak says he threw up in the second inning of tonight’s game.
However, Harper went 4-5 tonight with an RBI and a run scored. While he told Comak that his “head was spinning at the plate” Harper still managed to break out of the 1-14 slump he’d been in since April 12.
We always want players feeling 100% and wish Harper a speedy recovery, but if the stomach bug helps him put together games like this, perhaps he should consider getting sick every once in a while!
