The Marlins have placed first baseman/outfielder Logan Morrison on the 60-day disabled list as he continues to cover from knee surgery he had last September. Morrison had been slow to recover this Spring, and will now be out until at least May 31.

So for any fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the loud and hilarious personality at Nationals Park this week, better luck over the summer. Casey Kotchman will take over at first base in Morrison’s absence, and while it seems like a downgrade, Kotchman is just one year removed from hitting .336 with the Tampa Bay Rays.
