The Redskins are rightfully upset with the NFL and the NFL Players Association for league-imposed cap penalties that leave the Redskins with $18-million less to spend than the rest of the league for the second consecutive offseason. General Manager Bruce Allen has been quite vocal about the penalties, and now Redskins captain London Fletcher is speaking out about it. Fletcher took to Twitter yesterday to express his discontent.
@NFL @NFLPA would it be a salary cap violation for the @Redskins to sign free agents with Monopoly money? #cappenalty #thanks4nothing

While Roger Goodell will likely just fine Fletcher and buy himself lunch, it’s good to see that the players are not going to just let this slide. The Redskins never went outside the rules; they never did anything wrong. Hopefully the judge will see it the same way.
