Welcome to All Over The Hill, your new source for all things Washington, D.C. sports!  Whether you’re a fan of the Washington Capitals or the Georgetown Hoyas, All Over The Hill’s got you covered.

It’s been long debated over whether or not our nation’s capital can be called a “sports town,” and unfortunately, right now I don’t believe it is. With the Wizards struggling so mightily, the Capitals struggling to be consistent and the Nationals and Redskins just starting to show some dominance, I believe it will take some time to develop the history and the national (positive) interest in our nation’s capital to also be our nation’s Sports Capital. The Redskins have certainly had their moments, and the Capitals have had a few, but the Nationals arrived from Montreal just eight years ago and the Wizards have been anything but magical. It takes more than a single team to make your city a sports town.

But that’s ok, it takes time to build something special, and our mission here at All Over The Hill is to help you loyal DC fans watch this town grow. Washington, D.C. is a city often associated with disagreements, but one thing we can all agree on is that we love our sports. And it will grow. We saw nothing but promise in the Nationals and Redskins last year, and we know the Capitals are just slumping. A few more weeks playing in that new system and they should be back to normal. More on that later. As far as the Wizards go, they’re playing much better since the return of John Wall, and adding another great young talent in this year’s draft could really make this team a threat. Washington, D.C. will rise, and we hope you join us as we enjoy the ride with it.
