After proving themselves as a force in the Eastern Conference last season, the Washington Wizards will certainly have a bigger target on their backs this season and should garner more attention from the national media.

Despite an early rash of injuries to key players (Bradley Beal, Martell Webster, Kris Humphries, Glen Rice, Jr.), neither injury should pose too great to overcome. And with a wide open Eastern Conference this season (yes, LeBron is in Cleveland but they have yet to prove anything), Randy Wittman has the opportunity to take this team even further than he did last year.

If John Wall & Co. want to prove that last season was no fluke, walking away with victories in these five games will solidify Washington’s credibility as a contender for the Eastern Conference title.
