The Washington Redskins have officialy signed free agent right tackle Jeremy Trueblood, the team announced on Thursday.

Trueblood was originally scheduled to visit the team this weekend, however the Redskins can now shift their focus to their defensive backfield, as there are still multiple holes at both the safety and cornerback positions.

Trueblood spent the 2012 season dealing with a shoulder injury after losing his starting job with Tampa Bay early in the year. Trueblood was also drafted in the second round of 2006 under Bruce Allen, and has spent his entire career with the Buccaneers.

Trueblood will compete with the recently-signed Tony Pashos and backup Tom Compton for the starting right tackle job.
